Letterio Calapai & Friends: A Look Back Opening Friday July 8, 2011

Printmaker Letterio Calapai (1902-1993) spent the latter part of his life in a storefront studio in Glencoe, IL.  He was friends with many illustrious mid-20th century printers such as Rockwell Kent, Arthur William Heintzelman, Philip Evergood and others.

Our latest show takes a look back at this internationally known printmaker and his talented friends.  Works in this exhibition are provided by his former studio assistant, Frank Vioski.

An opening reception will be held Friday July 8, 2011 from 7-9 pm.  This event is free and open to the public.  Music by harpist Daphne Freund and Tom Bradfish who will accompany her on the Irish whistle, guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, harmonica and bodhran.  Not to be missed!
