Where Land Meets Sky, July 8 to Aug. 16, 2013. Reception: Friday, July 12, 7-9 p.m. Painters Lars-Birger Sponberg and Paul Weber will feature Midwest landscapes in oil. Dennis Downes will exhibit watercolor landscapes and bronze sculptures of Native American trail marker trees.

Gallery Opening Highlights: CLC Student Art Exhibition 2013

The gallery was buzzing with excitement this past Friday, April 12th. Students, staff, faculty, family, friends and patrons of the art came to the Robert T. Wright Gallery at the College of Lake County's Grayslake campus. The students' hard work paid off. 15 awards were presented during the ceremony by gallery curator, Steve Jones. A big thanks goes to Robert Booker, CLC staff photographer, for capturing such a memorable evening at the gallery. Holiday Art Sale 2012 Wrap-Up

The 22nd Annual Holiday Art Sale was a flurry of active shoppers, interesting artists and fun for the entire community. Please enjoy several of the images just before the event. Holiday Art Sale 2012

Unique holiday gift ideas for art lovers will abound at the College of Lake County’s 22nd Annual Holiday Art Sale, which will be held from Dec. 1-4. The juried sale will feature original art by 30 different Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin artists, including hand-made jewelry, wearable art, decorative and functional ceramics, wood and metal sculpture, fused and blown glass, mosaics, soaps and candles.

The Holiday Art Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1; from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2; from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday Dec. 3, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4. The sale will be in the Atrium located outside the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art in the Library/Learning Resource Center at CLC’s Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St. Parking is available in lots two through six, and visitors should enter through the C Wing.

The Holiday Art Sale is sponsored by the CLC Foundation and a portion of the proceeds help fund student scholarships. Members of the Friends of the Gallery will receive 10 percent off any item purchased at the Holiday Art Sale.




































Another opportunity for holiday shopping will be at the Artcetera Gallery Winter Sale on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. All art gifts will be 10 percent off, with 20 percent off for member of Friends of the Gallery. The Artcetera Gallery Sales Shop is located in the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art, inside the Library/Learning Resource Center at CLC’s Grayslake campus.

New Community Exhibits Coordinator Assistant

There's a new face in the gallery. Rachel Wolfe started her position with the Artcetera Gallery Sales Shop in July. A background in marketing and the arts, she's giving the gallery a fresh look and looking forward to expanding relationships with artists.
