Transformative Visions Opening Reception

Artists Joanna Mortreaux (left) and Nikki Renee Anderson (right) graciously attended to questions and entertained discussion around their works currently on exhibition in the Robert T. Wright Gallery at the College of Lake County.

The opening reception on Friday, August 24th was well attended. Patrons enjoyed music by a live pianist, hors d'oeuvres, refreshments and lively conversation.

The exhibition will be on display through September 23, 2012. Visit the gallery during the week or on the weekend to enjoy the unique works of these accomplished artists.

Transformative Vision

About the Show. Chicago artist Nikki Renee Anderson explores the nuances of the feminine experience through ceramic sculptures that incorporate sound. Australian artist Joanna Mortreux paints images of exotic or extinct animals and mixes them up to create strange but familiar creatures.

The Opening Reception is free and open to the public. Meet the artists, enjoy music, hors d'oeuvres and a great time, Friday, August 24, 7-9 p.m.

The Exhibition Hours are:
Monday-Thursday 8am - 10pm
Friday 8am - 4:30pm (except opening reception evening)
Saturday 9am to 4:30
Sunday 1pm to 5pm
