The Cup: Bruce Cochrane - Mississauga, ON Canada

Bruce Cochrane Drinking Bowl soda fired porcelain
(3.75 x 4.25 inches) CUP 043 $65 SOLD

Statement:
Drinking bowls
These bowls although resembling the Japanese footed tea bowl are intended for a variety of drinking experiences. They represent a departure from my main stream aesthetic which reflects a more rigid approach to the architecture of the vessel. With the bowls my intention is to express visual gesture and tactile exploration while in function. They are made as a production run however the mark on each bowl is distinct and connects with the hand in different ways.
