The Cup: Sam Chung - Tempe, AZ

Sam Chung Cloud Cup
porcelain, China painted, 2012
(2.25 x 2.75 inches) CUP 038 $80

Statement:
My most recent work draws imagery from the cloud motif as it has been used in Korean art and design.  I am interested in the cloud’s nature to be constantly in flux, which has been a source of reflection on my own vacillating sense of identity as a Korean-American.
